Five Weeks in the Amazon

FIVE WEEKS IN THE AMAZON
this is the DAILY ACCOUNT from my solo backpacking trip into the heart of the Amazon Jungle.  LOOKING FOR MORE THAN A VACATION, i was hoping to ANSWER TO SOME OF my life’s hardest QUESTIONS.  Why did i have to suffer so much as an individual? Weren’t we all meant to be happy?
THIS BOOK WILL SPEAK TO ANYONE WHO’S TRYING TO UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT LIFE, TRAVEL, LOVE, AND PURPOSE.  WHILE THERE AREN’T TOO MANY GREAT ADVENTURES LEFT TO DO IN THIS WORLD, BACKPACKING ALONE INTO THE JUNGLE IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM.

Beyond Ataraxia

BEYOND ATARAXIA
HOW DO WE LIVE HAPPILY? WHAT DO WE REALLY KNOW? DO WE HAVE A HUMAN NATURE? HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE?  DO WE HAVE A SOUL? WHAT IS A FRIEND? WHAT IS TRUTH? WHAT IS LOVE? DOES MY LIFE EVEN MATTER? IF SO TO WHOM DOES IT MATTER?
“BEYOND ATARAXIA” IS A PHILOSOPHICAL DISCUSSION ON TOPICS THAT ARE AS RELEVANT TODAY AS THEY WERE  THOUSANDS OF YEARS ago.  I’m not pretending I somehow figured out the answers to life, but I sure as hell know how to interogate myself.
AS ARISTOTLE SAID; “LET NOT THE YOUNGEST SHUN PHILOSOPHY OR THE OLDEST GROW WEARY OF IT.  TO DO SO IS EQUIVALENT TO SAYING EITHER THAT THE TIME FOR A HAPPY LIFE HAS NOT YET COME, OR THAT IS HAS ALREADY PASSED.”  THE ANSWERS TO YOUR PROBLEMS ARE WITHIN YOU TO BE DISCOVERED.  THIS BOOK WILL NOT TELL YOU WHERE TO FIND THEM, BUT PERHAPS IT CAN POINT YOU IN THE DIRECTION YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING.
Zenega

ZENEGA
ZENEGA IS AN ANTHOLOGY OF OVER 50 POEMS THAT WERE EACH WRITTEN DURING the last 10 years of my life.  FROM ROMANTIC COMEDIES, TO DARK AND STABBING TRAGEDIES.  THEY WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH, THEY WILL MAKE YOU CRY, THEY WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A HUMAN.
WRITTEN ALL OVER THE WORLD, I BRING YOU along with me FROM THE BEACHES OF THAILAND, TO THE FORESTS OF Canada.  FROM A HUT IN THE AMAZON JUNGLE, TO A CURB IN THE MEDIEVAL CITY OF PRAGUE.  WHETHER my PEN HAS DANCED ACROSS THE PAGE AT 30,000 FEET, OR MARCHED ACROSS my NOTEBOOK in a small hostel, I’m OVERCOME with INSPIRATION from the magnificent world we live in.
